As Chief Anchor @az was driving around scene searching on Daily Wave LIVE, he drove up to see multiple ODOT workers, including a newly hired Road Ranger, and multiple SEP Agents, including the Chief Executive Officer of SEP, messing around, lying down on the parking lot asphalt.
Amidst the violent crime cloud that has plagued Oceanpoint, and Newport more specifically, this is not a good look for SEP, rather than offering services to NPD or SCSO but lying down "chit-chatting" with friends.
The Chief Executive Officer of SEP approached Chief Anchor Azrael and attempted to deflect attention from the situation that had just been caught by suggesting ways to find interesting scenes through ride-alongs with law enforcement agencies.
Law Enforcement was actively pursuing a suspect who was originally fleeing in a vehicle. The pursuit had led to a crash at the north side of the hospital, next to the emergency bay and room, where the suspect abandoned their car and ran into the hospital.
Statements from nurses and doctors working inside the hospital when the suspect entered the building said that they were almost shot by the suspect, who was trying to fire back towards law enforcement agents who were still actively pursuing through the building. Oceanpoint remains divided during this violent time.
After a massive pursuit between multiple agencies, the Newport Police Department, Shoreline County Sheriff's Office, and Oceanpoint State Patrol, there had been a catastrophic car crash involving multiple Law Enforcement units (not pictured), as well as the suspect they were pursuing.
After the crash on Park Street, the suspect had exited their vehicle and run down Orchard Boulevard, where they would then unholster an automatic pistol and attempt to shoot and kill the pursuing officers. Officers were able to get their pistols out to return fire in time to neutralize the suspect and ensure the safety of themselves and their peers. Server moderators had later disbanded the scene.
Earlier this week, there was another unreported rollover crash resulting from a police pursuit by SCSO. As reported this week, crime appears to be consuming Newport and tanking property values, as new residents are not looking to move here due to high crime rates. This discussion is covered in Daily Wave's sit-down with La'darius Brooks from yesterday; check it out in our recent posts.
A Department of War contracted worker was surveying land with a government-permitted drone when a concerned resident shot it out of the sky with a firearm. 911 was called and NPD investigators were dispatched to the scene.
While Chief Anchor @az was enjoying a coffee and a sit-down with well-known public figure La'darius Brooks (Eraroten), a bizarre scene involving around five civilians broke out with multiple shots fired and weapons being handled. A well-known serial killer from Twittle was also said to be involved, according to witness statements given to Daily Wave.
Around four to five civilian deaths were confirmed by Law Enforcement officials who arrived on the scene shortly after the altercation broke out.
From an ongoing pursuit, an SCSO Deputy deployed to east Freedom Avenue at the Highway 55 Southbound exit in an attempt tok stop a high speed pursuit using stop sticks. The Deputy successfully executed the manuever but not without getting hit by the out-of-control evader.
The Deputy made the statement that, "I love stop sticks more than spike strips," and ended up being able to go away from the scene with semi-minor injuries. SCFR emergency responders suspected the Deputy will make a full recovery.
Witnesses made a 911 call to report shots being fired in the area of the High Rock Park neighborhood. SCSO Deputies were quickly dispatched to the scene to investigate. Witnesses suspect this is a gang-involved incident as two groups lived in separate houses, but close by.
Update: Two civilians are currently detained, possibly facing arrest. SCSO deputies wish to disperse the crowd rather than pursue an investigation that could lead to more arrests.
Update: SCSO Deputies have begun leaving the scene, with no civilian arrests or citations issued.
Following their recent post, it looks like NPD has invested in a weather-detection division rather than in keeping our streets safe. Their motives and future goals with the duties of this division are unknown.
As the night has grown old, Law Enforcement employment has seen all-time lows in the Oceanpoint area, allowing crime, violent shootings, and robberies to enter the city of Newport.
A group of Newport Police Officers and Shoreline County Sheriff Deputies has been deployed into the city of Newport to mitigate the damage already caused.
From officials' and witnesses' statements, civilian casualties could be upwards of 25-40 civilians dead on the street. SCFR has since sent out many EMTs in an attempt to save any remaining individuals who may be out there.
In a recent story about rooftop goers hopping from roof to roof, they had another encounter with SCFR as SCFR tried to rescue them. The ladder is too short to reach the building's peak and now poses a threat to SCFR rescuers as they attempt to scale the building to the rooftop to rescue civilians.
Following a crash going through the metal fencing separating the public sidewalk from the powerplant land has led to a car fire and the ejection of the driver. Witnesses say a passenger fled the scene on foot.
@gnpp has been under scrutiny as the situation unfolds. No official statements from the business have been released yet. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene and has since been transported to the hospital.
A recent Twittle user, @realcjace082, who has been seen posting themselves lying across dangerous rooftop ledges high above the ground, has been confronted by building owners, NPD, and SCFR for jumping from roof to roof over alleyways, endangering other ongoers. SCFR has put out safety nets while discussion continues on top of the roof.
Civilians claim they have permission to be on the rooftop, per the building owners.
SCFR retracted the ladder and left the civilians on the rooftop behind, as they declined to cooperate. The civilians have trespassed on the news headquarters building in Newport.
During Sheriff Qwerty's press conference, he announced that he would retire from the position of Sheriff, effective March 20th. Citizens began to speculate whether the state of Oceanpoint's crime rates would decrease or it would only lead to more complications. Many are hopeful that new leadership changes will also ultimately bring new horizons to Shoreline County and the law enforcement scene in Oceanpoint.
